Many of us straight razor collectors, treasure them as the feeling of owning and using a well-crafted tool from centuries past gives us a sense of connection with years gone by. During the 18th and 19th centuries, it was commonplace among gentlemen to own sets of straight razors to use during the course of a week, and for those who could not afford a straight razor would visit a traditional barbershop to obtain a great shave that would last for several days.
