barber shop remedy

| This is the kind of thing that mystified me as a kid when I saw it in my dads shaving kit. Now you find only it in dusty pharmacies and barber shops. I like the stick, it is an old fashioned remedy that has been around for many years. If you knick your face shaving, you simply wet the tip of the styptic stick and dab it lightly on the cut. It then disinfects while stopping the bleeding. It leaves a white film the size of a pea that you can wipe off in 10 minutes. It does not sting. Personally, I use this travel size, which will last for years. Both sizes come in a plastic tube to keep it safe in your shaving kit or medicine cabinet. Use the tube or to store it as it can easily break. |
Go looking at the local pharmacy.

It's a styptic pencil. I paid nearly $5.00 shipping it. Go look at the local pharmacy. Not the big chains, they only stock "popular" stuff, but the little local owned one. Seriously. If you still have one, usually run by a wizened old coot, he'll sell them to you for 99 cents.
As for the item itself, it does the job as well as any styptic pencil ever has that I've used. So... It's on par. |
